Dates: Monday, August 7th- Friday, August 11th Time: 9:00-3:30 daily Place: Mosier Community School Ages: Campers ages 6-13 Cost: $365 (includes snack and lunch daily) We fundraise to provide full scholarships and subsidized camper fees $195 is the subsidized rate for 2017. Providing a subsidized rate allows each family to choose the camp fee which best fits their unique situation. You do not need prior approval to pay the subsidized fee, just choose it on the registration form. People frequently ask if the Full Camper Fee supports the subsidized rate or scholarship fund. It does not. The Full Camper Fee is the actual cost for one week for one camper. Scholarships and Subsidized fee rates are supported 100% through donations and fundraising. Make a tax-deductible donation and help other kids get a camp experience too.
Volunteering at camp: There are many opportunities to get involved. We ask each family to contribute 4 hours of volunteer service. Parents, older siblings, grandparents, other family members are all welcome to volunteer before or during camp. The adult service is meant to enhance the Peace Village community experience for families, not to act as a barrier to participation We understand that each family has a unique situation and summer schedule. Please do not let service commitment or cost prevent your family from being a part of Peace Village.

Participants will engage in art, movement, nature connection, and ceremony, and have lots of fun together in the process of ‘Letting go of the Old’ - (forgiving, thanking, releasing), ‘Entering into the New’ - (opening, questing, receiving) and return to camp on Friday for closing and being honored and welcomed. New to Peace Village? What do we do? A typical day at Peace Village:
Campers spend much of the day in a small group of 12 to 15 kids with two counselors and a junior counselor. Together they enjoy two different core curriculum activities each day. Core concepts of Non-violent Conflict Resolution, Media Literacy, Movement, Music, Art, Peace Heroes and Service are taught through game, story, art, and play. We work to introduce a variety of practices for peace within, peace among one another and in the world.
Daily we also have two Village Fair activities each day. Village Fair activities range from additional art and music, to hands on craft projects, cooperative games, dance, and much more. Sustainable living practices, earth connection, and compassionate communication are woven through all camp activities.
We strive for a balanced, fun day for everyone. Each day starts and ends with everyone at camp together as a Village, singing and playing games. Morning snack and lunch time allow us to refuel, create community around food, and either rest or run off excess energy as needed.
